Matisse & Sadko

Matisse & Sadko are a Russian production/DJ duo, with respected releases on labels such as Spinnin’ Records and Size Records.  The brothers have won acclaim both in Europe, and more recently America, for their particular brand of anthemic, melodic house. Their remixes as well have garnered accolades on both sides of the Atlantic, with one remix (“Beating Of My Heart”) serving as the official Tomorrowland aftermovie anthem in 2012.  Often heard on satellite radio outlets such as Sirius XX, Matisse & Sadko stand out as real producers of an EDM sound that has electrified young dance music fans worldwide for the past several years. In the summer of 2013, VF2 Publishing (a joint venture between Val Blavatnik and Freddy Wexler) and Warner/Chappell signed the duo.

Since then, dozens of singles for labels such as DOORN, Spinnin, STMPD, Dim Mak, and others followed, notably 2013’s “SLVR” with Steve Angello and 2014’s “Azonto”; 2015’s Break Through the Silence EP, a collaboration with Martin Garrix, also yielded a pair of singles — the title track and “Dragon” — that charted in Belgium. The following year, they delivered the 2016 Ice Hockey World Championship Anthem, “GO!,” and launched their own label, Monomark Music, with the track “Machine Gun.”

More releases with Garrix followed, namely 2016’s “Together” and 2017’s “Forever.” 2018 yielded nearly a dozen singles, including “Into You” and “Dawnbreaker” with Tiesto off the Dutch DJ’s EP I Like It Loud. In 2019, the pair issued their first single of the year with “Don’t Tell Me,” featuring Aspyer and Matluck.

But it isn’t just Martin Garrix, Sander Van Doorn, Swedish House Mafia, Armin van Buuren, Tiesto, Arty, Zedd and Hardwell playing Matisse & Sadko’s music in their sets—they have also earned their place amongst them as live performers as well. Matisse & Sadko are regular billed artists at highly respected touring event Sensation, the world’s leading dance party; they have been the only Russian artists whose talent was noted specifically by ID&T and by the event creator himself — Duncan Stutterheim.
