JYT (short for Just Your Type) is Recker (15), Tyler (16), Bryan (18), Toby (17), and Caden (18). Buzzing as the best dancers under 18 in the country, JYT is the newest global signing for Universal Music Group and already being called “the next great American boyband.”

What’s cool is, there was no casting director: these kids chose each other. They are literally best friends. But they’re also a force to be reckoned with—consisting of a former Broadway Simba, a GRAMMY- and EMMY-nominated drummer and Disney breakout (Wizards Beyond Waverly Place), and some of the best dancers in the world under 18.

JYT makes future-leaning pop with 2000s DNA and have spent the past year in intensive development in LA, training with top choreographers led by Nick DeMoura (Justin Bieber). Their third single “No Pressure” is out now, and their origin story will unfold in a 2026 docuseries.
