Donnell Shawn Butler

Hailing from Philly and published by Millennium Kid Publishing, songwriter-producer Donnell Shawn Butler came to the attention of The Brain through YouTube. Butler possesses an extreme gift as a writer of infectious melodies and lyrics as well as a soul-piercing sense of vocal harmony.

Butler has seen songwriting and production placements arriving thick and fast. Hip-Hop/R&B queen Mary J. Blige included his composition “Irreversible” on her Billboard top-10 album My Life II; “Novacane” (featuring Kevin Rudolf) was featured on Lil Wayne’s chart-topping Tha Carter IV;  Boyz II Men also released Twenty with Butler’s lyrics and production on “Flow,” and additional songs have been recorded by Jesse McCartney, Letoya Luckett, and Shakira.
